How is Logistical Solutions different from a typical exterior maintenance contractor?
Logistical Solutions aims to provide long-term building care vs. one-off exterior projects. Our pricing is fair and transparent, our recommendations are practical, and our work is backed by a money-back guarantee if we don’t outperform your current vendor.
We focus on early identification and resolution of exterior issues for our clients—before they become expensive repairs that disrupt day-to-day operations. Our goal is to make exterior maintenance more predictable and significantly easier to organize for maintenance and property managers.
Why use rope access instead of scaffolding or swing stages?
Rope access can deliver safer, more efficient, and less disruptive maintenance and cleaning services for high-rise buildings. We use less heavy equipment, so entrances stay open and noise is minimal. There is no need to secure expensive permits from the city for street or sidewalk closures, and you don’t have to absorb the costs associated with machinery rental. Our labor crews are generally small and therefore more cost-effective.
Unlike traditional access methods, we can quickly and inexpensively design a custom approach to each job. Once on your building, we can easily maneuver to access any uniquely shaped architecture for better cleaning and repair angles.
These advantages—combined with strict training mandates from organizations like the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT)—make choosing rope-access services a clear-cut decision for modern commercial building management.
How does pricing work when multiple exterior services are combined?
Our pricing approach is structured to reward efficiency. When multiple services—such as window cleaning and caulking/leak prevention, or sealant maintenance and flat rubber roof repair—are completed during a single rope-access visit, overall costs are often lower than hiring separate contractors at different times.
By reducing duplicate equipment setups and scheduling, many clients see meaningful annual savings. In some cases, combining services has saved building owners $5,500 or more per year, depending on the building itself, the scope of services, and the frequency.

Do you service buildings outside of Des Moines?
We often do! While the majority of our work is centered in and around the Des Moines metro and other major Iowa commercial markets, we routinely work on commercial and multi-story properties in surrounding Midwestern markets. Service availability depends on building type, scope of work, and scheduling.

What types of properties do you service?
We perform window cleaning, leak prevention, and exterior maintenance services on many types of high-rise commercial and multi-story residential buildings, including offices, apartments, hotels, condos, hospitals, schools, factories, and townhome complexes. We occasionally service residential homes.
Why does SPRAT certification matter?
SPRAT’s mission is to advance the safe use of rope access and other work-at-height methods through education, standards development, and administering certifications.
Our technicians all maintain SPRAT certifications. That means we are rigorously trained in proper rigging and backup systems (two lines: a working line and a safety line); descent techniques; rescue strategies; load calculations; anchor installation if needed; and counterweight system setup for non-anchored jobs.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are fully insured and bonded, beyond industry standard requirements. We are incredibly proud of our outstanding safety record. We approach every job execution plan and equipment setup with a safety-first mindset, and all our technicians regularly undergo safety re-certifications. We routinely take continuing education courses, and we regularly train in urban rescue.
Is Logistical Solutions a window cleaning company?
Yes and no. Window cleaning is our most-requested service, but we also offer a full range of exterior services related to building maintenance and repair.
Why? Because when your “window cleaner” can also perform leak-preventing caulking and sealant application, painting, power or soft washing, and roof patching and repair for your building, you’re not just checking the boxes on your maintenance to-do list—you’re saving money and eliminating multiple contractor visits.
Will you do window cleaning on residential properties or only commercial properties?
Yes, we can clean single-family homes, although our main residential focus is townhomes, apartments, and condos.
How do I know if my property is rope-access ready?
Any building can be made rope-access ready. Some buildings have anchors for ropes and equipment already installed. If yours does not, Logistical Solutions is trained to safely and securely install these anchors for you. But in most cases, we’re able to use counterweight systems, creating our own temporary anchors. So we can often tell our clients, “No anchors, no problem!”
